James Richard Carter Obituary
James Richard "Ricky" Carter, 73, of Manila, Arkansas passed away at his home on September 5, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1951 in Joiner, Arkansas to Bennie and Marguriete (Moore) Carter. Ricky was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He was very kind and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on the farm, and spending time with his friends and family. He took pride in taking care of his grandchildren Addie and Ellie.
Survivors include; wife of 53 years: Cathy Carter of the home; one daughter: Rebecca Brooks (Jeremy) of Manila, Arkansas; one son: James Richard Carter II (Ashley) of Reeves, Missouri; five grandchildren: Kailib Brooks, Kaitlin Brooks, Ellie Brooks, Jason Carter, Bella Carter; one great granddaughter: Addie McGee; two brothers: Arthur Carter of Manila, Arkansas and Paul Carter (Liz) of Manila, Arkansas; two sisters: Kitty Bunch of Hobe Sounds, Florida and Donna Hiser (Dennis) of Manila, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by; his parents: Bennie and Marguriete (Moore) Carter; and four siblings: Martha Crowe, Vernon Carter, Donald Ray Carter, Joe Carter.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Manila Cemetery in Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
Those to serve as pallbearers are Kailib Brooks, Jeremy Brooks, James Carter, Angel Villegas, Juan Villegas, and Dakota McGee.
