Kary Don Morgan Obituary
Kary Don Morgan, age 48, of Monette, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026. He was born on November 20, 1977, to Peggy and Kenneth Morgan and grew up in Etowah, Arkansas. Kary was the youngest brother of Kenny and Kris.
Throughout his life, Kary had a gift for making friends and making people feel like family. He formed lasting friendships during his time at Miss Co., friendships that remained strong and meaningful throughout the years. He was truly a people person who loved life, loved to laugh, and never met a stranger.
Kary worked at Big River Steel in Osceola, Arkansas, where he was affectionately known as "Cookie" by his crew. He took great pride in the people he worked alongside and the relationships he built throughout his career.
Kary was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He is survived by his loving wife of more than seven years, Heather, and their two daughters still at home, Saylor and Brylee. He is also survived by his three grown children, Ména Bratton (Justin), Maicy Blake, and Madix Blake, who have each begun lives and journeys of their own. His children were among his greatest joys, and he was incredibly proud of every one of them.
Kary loved to joke, "This is my girls' world, and I'm just living in it!" And there was certainly truth behind the joke. His girls were such a huge part of his life, and he cherished every moment he had with them.
Kary and Heather loved going on adventures together. Whether they were hiking and exploring new places, attending concerts, taking trips, or simply enjoying life together, they made countless memories along the way. Their journey together also included growing in their faith. Through the years and the different places they called home, they found loving churches and communities of believers where they could grow closer to Jesus together.
Kary was a die-hard Arkansas Razorbacks fan and enjoyed spending time on the golf course. But above all the things he loved in this life, Kary loved Jesus.
His faith was not something he kept to himself. Jesus was at the center of his heart, and he wanted everyone he knew to experience the love, hope, and salvation he had found in Christ. He wanted his family, his friends, and everyone he encountered to know Jesus so that they could all be together again one day in Heaven.
Kary loved his family more than anything in this world. He treasured his wife, his children, his parents, his siblings, his extended family, and the many friends who became like family to him. His life was filled with people he loved, memories he treasured, laughter he shared, and a faith that carried him through.
He leaves behind a host of family members and friends who will miss his smile, his laughter, his friendship, and the joy he brought into their lives. His absence leaves a tremendous void, but the impact of his life will continue through everyone who knew and loved him.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we can hold onto the hope that Kary is now experiencing the very thing he spent so much of his life believing in. He is home with Jesus.
And if Kary could see us now—if he could tell us anything from where he is—there is no doubt he would want us to know one thing:
Jesus is worth it all.
Until we meet again in Heaven, Kary, we will carry your love, your laughter, your faith, and your memory with us.

Those to serve as pallbearers will be Kenny Morgan, Kris Morgan, Chris Caruth, Eric Elrod, Eric Gist, Brian McCormick, Charles Parnell, and Dave York. Honorary pallbearer will be Madix Blake, his son.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at The Rock in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Pastor Terry Watson, Pastor Jeff Adams, and Randy Johnson officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Monette Memorial Cemetery in Monette, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
