He was predeceased by: his siblings, William Cater, Jr., Johnny Franklin Cater, Butch Cater, Bessie Jewell Stutts and Mary Sue Malloy.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Cater (Dawnna) of Manila and Tonia Eubanks (Brad) of Manila; his siblings, Bobby Cater of Jonesboro, Becky Wilkey of Heber Springs and Karen Wilkerson of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Michelle Schwartz (Jeff), Scott Eubanks (Alexis), Callie Cater and Cade Cater; and his close friend Donna McCormick.
