Mae Irish Ruffins Obituary
Mae Irish Ruffins was born on July 9, 1952 to the late Milford and Jessie (Jones) Williams in Newport, Arkansas. Mae departed this life on September 5, 2026 at the age of 74.
Mae married Clarence Edward Ruffins, and they remained married for 50 years. To this union four children were born: Clarence Demond Ruffins, Jeremy Ruffins, Alex Ruffins (Ana), and Bettina Christian Ruffins. Mae was one of Jehovah's Witnesses' and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses' in Jonesboro, Arkansas for many years. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, reading, traveling, sewing, going on adventures with her children, and spending time with family.
Mae leaves to cherish her memory; three children: Clarence Demond Ruffins, Jeremy Ruffins, Alex Ruffins (Ana); three sisters: Dora D. Fortey, Josephine Battle, Teresa A. Brown; one brother: Eddie C. Williams; eleven grandchildren: Niko Ruffins, Zaniel Ruffins, Adan Ruffins, Atticus Ruffins, Olaniyah Ruffins, Brian Patterson, Roark Ruffins, Jana Ruffins, Jericka Ruffins, Danicka Ruffins, and Journey Ruffins; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by; her parents; her husband: Clarence Edward Ruffins; and one daughter: Bettina Christian Ruffins.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses' (5618 Summer Place, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72404) with Bro. Dylan Tucker officiating.
