Ruby Nadine Cook Obituary
Ruby Nadine Cook, age 88, passed away on January 15, 2026 at her home. She was born on May 31, 1937 in O'kean, Arkansas to Charles Gates and Iva Cook. Ruby was a member of the 1st Church of God in Paragould, Arkansas. She enjoyed fishing, working in her yard and garden, reading her bible, gardening her roses, watching hummingbirds, and loved her animals.
Survivors include; one son: Paul Summers of Alabama; one daughter: Deborah Tayler (Steve) of Indiana; ten grandchildren: Phillip Summers, Jason Summers, Raymond Mason, Steven Tayler, Stephanie Summers, Stacy Wallace, David Summers, Emily Summers, Abby Summers, Jacob Summers; nine great grandchildren: Phillips Summers III, Alison Summers, Blaine Chipman, Jordan Herrera, Susan Wallace, Remington Wallace, Kaylee Mason, Nora Mason, Seth Torhan; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by; her parents: Charles Gates and Iva Cook; husbands: Charles Summers and Tommy Cook; two children: Pamela Summers and Phillip Summers; two brothers: Dennis Gates and Carl Gates; four sisters: Lavel Swift, Vernell Gates, Berniece Fortson, Tressie Swift; and two grandchildren: Shannan Tayler and Matthew Tayler.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Arkansas with Bro. Terry Huffine officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
