He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Oxford and Matilda Oxford (Rogers); and his sister Patricia J. Carter. He is survived by: his wife Velta Oxford (Pierce); his sons, Darryl Oxford (Tammy) of Mansfield, Kevin Oxford (Teresa) of Mansfield and Stephen Oxford of Mansfield; and his siblings, Earl Oxford (Gerita) and Eva Lois Acoach. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel.
