It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John McClendon of Marianna, Arkansas, born in Palestine, Arkansas, who passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Reuben Marion McClendon and Ruby Ates McClendon; his wife Sharon Spaine McClendon of Marianna; his children, Julie McClendon Davison (Andy) of Oklahoma City, Lori Ann McClendon of Conway, Arkansas and Michael Charles McClendon (Penny) of Marianna; his grandsons, Hunter Michael McClendon of Jonesboro and Sean Andrew Davison of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his brothers, Don H. McClendon (Anne) of Marianna and Randy R. McClendon of Gautier, Mississippi; and his brother-in-law Dr. William E. Spaine (Heather) of Flippin, Arkansas..

Roger Hadley wrote a sympathy message

“Sharon I am so saddened to hear of John R’s passing last week. I think of John often and have very fond memories of both you and John. I was just talking about John two days ago with another ASA board member, David Nickels, from Tennessee. We are together this week, in Costa Rica, on a Beck’s Hybrid’s dealer trip.
