He was predeceased by: his parents, James Owensby and Greatha Walters Owensby; his wife Shirley Robertson Owensby; and his siblings, Ellen Gentry and Lloyd Herrington.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Kevin Owensby, Loren Herrington, Francis Weaver and Bonnie Owensby; and his nephews, Danny Owensby, Christopher Kimble and Ted Jones.
