He was predeceased by: his parents, W. R. Shirley (Jack) and Alma Shirley; and his brother Billy Ray Shirley. He is survived by: his wife Jana Sue Shirley (Myers); his sons, Ed Shirley (Sheri) and Jody Shirley (Simone); his grandchildren, Kara Bauman (Brant), Joey Shirley (Hailey), Braxton Shirley, Bryce Shirley (Kaitlin) and McKenzie Shirley; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nelson, Azalea, Kai, Willow and Rowan; and his siblings, Boyd Shirley (Carol), Bettye Jackson, Barbara Reaves and Beverly White (David). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
