It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Rainey (Marion, Arkansas), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Tibbie" Clifton Rainey and Miriam Suzanne "Susie" Chamblee Rainey; his sister Emily McClendon Cockrill; and his brother-in-law Albert Haden Cockrill, Sr.. He is survived by: his sons, William "Will" Palma Rainey II (Cindy) and Chamblee Hayne Rainey (Megan Snider); his grandchildren, William Garrett Rainey, Olivia Claire Rainey and Ethan Paul McGuire; and his former wives, Ann Beane Hudson and Patricia Hayne Rainey. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pal's memory to the UAMS Myeloma Center.
