He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Pete" Nelson and Wona Mae Locke Smith; and his brother James Scott. He is survived by: his son Brayden Smith of San Francisco; his sisters, Nell Nash of Payneway and Kathy Haynes of Paragould; and his granddaughter Zoey Smith of San Francisco.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Marked Tree Cemetery (98 US-63 BUS, Marked Tree, AR 72365).
