Jerry Joiner Obituary

Jerry Marvin Joiner, 66, of Marmaduke, Arkansas, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Jerry was a proud former truck driver who never grew tired of sharing stories from his many adventures on the road. His love for sports was evident, especially when cheering on his grandchildren as they played ball. Known for his outgoing nature, Jerry had a deep affection for animals and a passion for the great outdoors.

Born on October 22, 1959, in the family home north of Rector, Arkansas, Jerry was the son of Marvin Joiner and Veda (Joiner) Hobbs.

He leaves behind a loving family: daughters Amberly Joiner of Marmaduke, AR, and Krystal (Chris) Barnett of Newnan, GA; grandchildren, Justis Joiner, Baylie Joiner, Bryce Davis, and Colt Stewart; siblings, Cheri Shelton, Randy (Maxine) Joiner, Nick (Barb) Hobbs, and Shayne (Jennifer) Hobbs; former brother in law, Barry Shelton; honorary ex-wife, Melissa Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Jerry's favorite book was Lonesome Dove, and he often quoted the beloved character Augustus "Gus" McCrae. One quote resonates deeply today: "It ain't dying I'm talking about, it's living. I doubt it matters where you die, but it matters where you live.". Jerry ~ You will always live on in our hearts.

The family will announce a celebration of life at a later day and time.
