He is survived by: his children, Pamela Reed Prather (ChrisPrather) of Tatum Texas, Thomas Reed (Bonne Barfield Reed) and Cheryl Reed Hayes of McKinney Texas; his grandchildren, Erin Prather Loewe (Jason Loewe), Daniel Prather, Dustan Prather, Trevor Reed (Alaina Cox Reed), Savanna Reed Stanford (Joshua Stanford), Hanna Reed, Grace Solomon, Dalton Hayes, Reagan Hayes and Clayton Gillard; and his great grandchildren, Cadence Loewe, Kennon Loewe, Adelaide Reed, Caspian Reed, Oscar Stanford, Madelyn Gillard and Sawyer Gillard.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Owen's Chapel Cemetery.
