He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Cox; his children, Kim Cox of Bryant, Arkansas, James Phillips of Killen, Texas, Droshun Cox (Ashley), Yvette Lambert (Wille) of Crawfordsville, Arkansas, Kishina Thomas of Sherwood, Arkansas, Kissia Thomas of Little Elm, Texas and Lotasha Thomas of Little Rock, Arkansas; his granddaughter Chantel Franklin; and his siblings, Earnest Cox, Sr., Evelyn Cox and David Cox (Linda). He is also survived by grandchildren; eight (8) great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
