He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon and Mildred; his former wife Neva Jo; his wife Francine Russell; and his siblings, Jim Sherrod, James Sherrod and Goldie Hitt.
He is survived by: his children, Stanley Sherrod of Marvell, John Deiss of St. Louis, Kenny Deiss (Christa) of Hughes, Jim Hostetler (Angie) of Benton, Pynie Schwantz (Stacy Scott) of Earle and Celeste Sherrod of Marvell; his grandchildren, Carmen Scarlett Schwantz, Harry Schwantz, IV, Brandon Deiss, Christa Nall, Kacie Watson, Dana Sherrod, Patience Brenly-Feble, Johnny Deiss, Jr., Sam Hostetler and Lindsey McCuin; and his siblings, Jerry Sherrod of Atkins, Frank Sherrod of Doniphan, Missouri and Ola Faye Nelson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
