She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Hubert Turner Jr. and Thelmas Mae Rushton; and her sister Shirley Turner. She is survived by: her husband Joe T. Simmons of Mayflower; her children, Angie Ford, Shana Revels, Timothy Simmons and Tracy Downey; and her grandchildren, Jayden Wilcox-Revels, Michael Simmons and TJ Downey.
