He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Haymes and Sally Sims Haymes; his wife Brenda Gail Haymes; and his son Brian Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Nelson (Karen), Laura Nelson Palmer and Amanda Patton (Randy); and his siblings, Ray Haymes, Sonny Haymes (Jeri), Scotta Reimers and Fern Case. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
