He was predeceased by: his parents, George Raney and Mattie Marietta Smith (Fortenberry); his son Devin; his daughter-in-law Karen Carter Smith; and his siblings, John, Tony, Terry Smith, Linda Cain and Judy Gettys.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Smith; his sister Shelia Milton (Mike) of McCrory; and his grandson Jericho Smith of McCrory. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home East Third (304 E 3rd St, McCrory, AR 72101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel (304 E 3rd St, McCrory, AR 72101).
