She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Griffin and Alma L. Griffin (Scott); her husbands, Garner Lawson and Walter Yates; her sons, Joey Lawson, Jeff Lawson and Gene Yates; her daughter-in-law Cleo Lawson; and her brothers, Larry, Bobby and Glenn Griffin.
She is survived by: her son Phillip Yates (Patricia) of McCrory; and her daughters-in-law, Teresa Lawson and Rhonda Jones. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCrory Nazarene Church (303 Wade St, McCrory, AR 72101). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
