He was predeceased by: his parents, George Raney (Smith) and Mattie Marietta Smith (Fortenberry); his son Jason Smith; and his siblings, John, Tony, DeWayne Smith, Linda Cain and Judy Gettys.
He is survived by: his sister Shelia Milton (Mike) of McCrory. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
