She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Haskell Askew, Jr. and Barbara Jean Young Askew; and her siblings-in-law, Anne Bowman Sloan, Winston Sloan and Lee Bowman.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Annie and Bill; her pets, Princess, Pax, Smokey, Bud, Honey, Boogie, Missy, Sissy and Mollie; her husband William Walker Bowman Sr.; her children, William Walker Bowman Jr. (Kimberly) and Emily Bowman Stein (Carter); her grandsons, William Walker Bowman III, Samuel Philip Bowman, Whitfield Henry Bowman, Bowman Conrad Stein and Charles Walker Stein; her sister Carla Askew Sachar (Louis); and her nieces and nephews, Sherre Sachar, Anne Ivan Sloan Harrison, Walker Sloan, Kim Miros, Foster Bowman, Jason Bowman and Mary Bowman Ritchey.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Methodist Church (207 North St #3rd, McGehee, AR 71654).
