Barbara Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on May 13, 2026, at the age of 92, Barbara Smith of McGehee, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Clayton Gould and Grace Morton Gould; her husband James Neill Smith; and her brother Joe Clayton Gould, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Mike Smith (Glenda) of McGehee, Don Smith (Cindy) of McGehee and David Smith (Susie) of Little Rock; her sisters-in-law, Rosalie Gould of McGehee, Nane Clem of Hot Springs and Delma Smith of Pittsburgh, KS; her grandchildren, S. Kendall Smith MD (Steven Frankel), Elliot Smith (Trista Lipe), Natalie Hite (Josh), Taylor Smith (Kimmy), Madeline Igo (Tim) and Matthew Smith (Morgan); her great grandchildren, Olivia, James Hite, Bennett, Brooke Igo and Emerson Frankel; and her stepgrandsons, Josh Cary and Justin Cary. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Memorials may be made to the McGehee Hospital, the FMC of McGehee, or a charity of the donor's choice.
