With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dwight Leroy Powell in Mena, Arkansas, who passed away on December 6, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond L. Powell and Mable Irene Powell (Bell); his wife Rebecca Powell; and his daughter DeAnna Powell. He is survived by: his children, Duane Powell (Sherri), Dennis Powell, Shelby Sullivan (Jennifer), Joseph Powell, Zengsi Chen and Violet Gibbons (Brendan); and his brothers, Douglas Powell (Barbara), Donald Powell and Dale Powell (Joyce). He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home (611 Janssen Ave, Mena, AR 71953). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
