George Murphy Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Murphy (Mena, Arkansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Cora Rowena Fallis Murphy; and his siblings, Walter "Sonnie" Murphy, J. R. "Jake" Murphy, Mary V. Bain, Ruby Spencer, Betty Jo Hammond and Orbra Hamner.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Murphy; his son Randy; his daughter-in-law Mandy Murphy; his sisters, Charlotte Mayfield and Fern (Loyd Knight); and his grandchildren, Krystall Faye Cassels (family: Wesley "Kyle" Murphy, Kayla Nobles, Tyler Randall Murphy, Colby Shawn Murphy) and Darin Wade Maxwell. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bowser Family Funeral Home (2608 US-71, Mena, AR 71953). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel (2608 US-71, Mena, AR 71953).
