We announce the death of Ines May Wilson (Mena, Arkansas), who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 86. Ines will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Bates and Hester Key Bates; her husband Apache Jim Wilson; her sister Virginia Brumfield; her brother-in-law Ernie Brumfield, Sr.; and her brother Billy Bates.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Charlotte Bates; and her nieces and nephews, Donna Wigginton (Steve), Wesley Bates (Cheryl), Brad Bates, Allison Swaim (Andrew), Gary, Andrea Brumfield and Ernie Brumfield, Jr.. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, friends, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Beasley-Wood Chapel (611 Janssen Ave, Mena, AR 71953). A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Ridge Cemetery.
