He was predeceased by: his parents, James Isaac and Helen Rose Wray Deaton; and his siblings, Carl Deaton, Mavis Dale, Betty Coomer and Joyce Coomer.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Deaton of Mena; his children, Glen (Janice Deaton), Richard (Shannon Hunt), Jeffrey (Shannon Hunt), Aaron (Stephine Blehm), Mark Blehm of Mena, Helen Deaton (Pedro) and Cheryl (Dave Vespie); and his siblings, Willard Deaton of Beattyville, Ikie Deaton of Middletown, Jess Cooley of Mena and Brenda Deaton of Mena. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bowser Family Funeral Home (2608 US-71, Mena, AR 71953). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas.
