JoAnn Nelson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Nelson in Mena, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 17, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid JoAnn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For JoAnn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wheelock and Julia Wheelock (Hedges); her husband Jimmy Jack Nelson; and her siblings, Dorothy Karl, Ed Wheelock and Roy D. Wheelock.
She is survived by: her children, Frank G. Nelson (Brenda) of Mena, Tracy Nelson (Joan) of Black Springs, Arkansas and Judy Higgins (Jim) of Indianapolis. She is also survived by four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; as well as by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
