We announce the death of Mary Sue Janway of Mena, Arkansas, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 70. Mary Sue will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Toy Hopper and Lala Roberts Hopper; and her brothers, Billy Hopper and Fred Hopper. She is survived by: her husband Gary Don Janway of Mena, Arkansas; her sons, Jimmy Janway of Waldron, Arkansas, Jeffery Janway (Victoria) of Pittsburg, Texas and Steven Janway (Robert) of McKinney, Texas.; her grandchildren, Rylie White (Allen) of Fort Riley, Kansas, Emily Janway of Fayetteville, Arkansas and David Borsellino of Fort Collins; her sister Kay Sprague of Mena, Arkansas; and her sisters-in-law, Renee Hopper of Zafra, Oklahoma and Judy Davis (CJ) of Umpire, Arkansas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Beasley-Wood Chapel (611 Janssen Ave, Mena, AR 71953). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church (32710 Blackfork Trail, Mena, AR 71953).
