He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Shelley and Clarice Shelley; his son Michael Shelley; his brother Frank Shelley; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Piechoki, Michael Laing, Bill Stewart and Eileen Rosenbaum.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Shelley of Mena; his children, Kevin Shelley, Keith (Linda Shelley), Debbie Shelley and Denise (Gerard St. Pierre); his grandchildren, Allison, Matt Hughes, Katherine, Jake Taylor, Michael, Matthew, Brennan Shelley, Darren, Amanda, Dustin, Christina, Londyn St. Pierre, Lakyn and Mikey Evans; his great grandchildren, Adam, Mason, Bryce Hughes, Huntleigh, Kinslee, Audrey Taylor, Brantley Shelley, Drew, Caden, Austin, Kenzie, Noah, Hudson St. Pierre, Miley and Owen Evans; his siblings, Tom (Terri Shelley), Dennis (Maria Shelley) and Joan Piechoki; and his close friend Clyde Shelley. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ray's honor to the American Legion Veteran Organization in Polk County, Arkansas at 3253 Highway 71 N, Mena, AR 71953.
