He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry B. Sexton and Pearl Edith Sexton (Corter); his former life partner Erma June Sexton (Chism); and his siblings, Ralph, Alf, Alvin, Calvin, Clifford, Ada, Ruby, Martha, Ellen, Pauline and Dorothy.

He is survived by : his wife Helen Doris Sexton (Hodge); his sons, Garry Alfred Sexton (Janell) and Paul Henry Sexton (Dianne); his grandsons, Kevin, Kyle and Paul Sexton; his sister Flossie Corter (Sexton); and his stepchildren, Joan Maloy, Ronald Herron, Patsy Mullinax, Robert Herron (Bob), Margaret Volner, Charles Mullinax, Jay Mullinax and Larry Mullinax. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
