He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edgar and Gracie Griggs Piercy; his wife Lillie Mae Piercy; and his siblings, Gaylon, Rufus, Ruth and Billie Fern.

He is survived by: his children, William Allen Piercy (Heather) of Jonesboro, John Robert Piercy (Kirstin) of Forrestville, Michael Roy Piercy (Debi) of Little Rock and Jo Boyd (Randy) of Jonesboro1; and his brother Laymon Piercy of West-Helena1. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
