He is survived by: his wife Barbara Diane Forrest Newton of Monticello; his children, James Alan Newton of Prattville, AL, Anita Kay Endsley (Keith) of Moore, OK and John Arthur Newton of Monticello; his stepson Ronnie Hayes of Crossett; his brother James Carlton Newton of Monticello; and his grandchildren, Ashley Poole and Matthew Poole.
