With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billie Ray Bell (Monticello, Arkansas), born in Racine, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2025 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Bell and Irma Phillips; and his wife Helen Louise Rhodes. He is survived by: his children, Alicia Jones, Cynthia Cameron of Wilmar, AR, Deâ, Sire Lopez (Frank) of Dallas, TX and David Bell (Theadosha); his stepsons, Rodrick McNeary and Deangus Wright of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Elijah Francis, Vincent Steppes Jr., Jaâ, Cari Oglesby, Tyshuna Steppes, Londyn Lopez, Bostin Lopez, Reagan Bell, Zahir Bell, Josiah Bell, Tahj Bell, Kaydance Bell, Kamonii Bell and Roderick Marquice Heinen; his great grandchild Kingston Steppes; his siblings, Harold, Sam (Lisa), Derick (Tyeisha), David, Cory (Keyona), Michael Webb (Gail), Jeannette (James), Janet (Leon), Gloria and Effie; his stepsister Michelle Blake (Bobby); his stepmother Lisa Bell; and his friends, James Bass, Marvin Hopson, Marlon Perry, Jason P., Little John, Flocka, Glen, Parshay and Willie Lewis. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Cemetery.
