We announce the death of Carolyn Joyce Clayton Sturgeon of Monticello, Arkansas, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 61. She was predeceased by: her father Beottis E. Clayton. She is survived by: her husband Paul Sturgeon of Monticello, Arkansas; her mother Jenece Bailey Clayton of Potts Camp, Mississippi; her children, Daniel Duke of Potts Camp, Cliff Sturgeon of Lufkin, Texas and Sandy May of Lufkin, Texas; her sister Beth Sprinkle (Steve) of Saltillo, Mississippi; her niece LeAnne Vance (Antonio) of Saltillo, Mississippi; and her nephew Jon Mark Sprinkle (Abby) of Ripley, Mississippi. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
