He was predeceased by: his father Dexter Cullen Gulledge; his half-sister Daisy Joynell Gulledge; his grandparents, Bloom Thomas Armstrong (Hattie S.) and Ed F. Gulledge (Nora A.); and his great-grandparents, Cullen, Rhoda A. Altman and Robert Henry Gulledge (Susana Rebecca).
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Shermane Orndorf Gulledge of Monticello; his sister Yutana Lofton of Sandersville, MS; and his nieces and nephews, Lonnie, Vanessa Duckworth, Michael, Joyce Diane Mayberry, Barbara F. Stockton and Brenda Joy Walker. He is also survived by ten great nieces and nephews; and twenty-seven great-great nieces and nephews.
