He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marter and LaVerne Burks Marter; and his siblings, Jim Marter, Kenneth Funderburg, Charles Marter Sr., Juanita Smith and Nancy Forrest.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Amanda Lytle of Monticello, AR, Crystal Goodman of Monticello, AR and Debra Brown of Monticello, AR; and his brother Don Marter (Donna) of Monticello. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
