It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Don Ridgell Sr. (Monticello, Arkansas), who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Labue Ridgell and Ruth Ridgell; and his sisters, Ann Keith and Olean Girtman. He is survived by : his niece Rebie Ann Ambrose-Green; his children, Katina Ridgell of Little Rock, AR and Jerry Don Ridgell, Jr. of Monticello, AR; his siblings, Alvin Ridgell (Linda) of Monticello, AR, Emma Jean Green (Carl) of Little Rock, AR, Bessie Ruth Dunlap (Japan) of Monticello, AR and Margaret Barnes (L. C.); his grandson Laquon Williams of Bedford, TX; and his great grandchild Lamari Williams of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A wake was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion AME Cemetery.
