The family announces the passing of Melissa Hauser of Monticello, Arkansas on August 18, 2026. Melissa, born on November 10, 1968, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Raymond Kellum and Virginia Landers Kellum; her grandparents, Isaac Jacob Kellum "Daddy Tode", Christerlene Burchfield Kellum "Mama Kellum", William and Aniece Bishop Landers; her aunt Annette; and her uncle Barry Hall.
She is survived by: her daughter Claire Crew (Rocky) of Shreveport, LA; her stepdaughter Olivia Whitehead (Steven) of Genoa, AR; her siblings, Michael Kellum of West Memphis, AR, Kathy Kellum Lyon of Monticello and Trenia Martin (Kevin) of Fountain Hill; and her cousins, Gayle Brown, Michelle Lay, Dane Hall, Todd Hall, Traci Berry, Patsy Tucker, Linda Tucker-Ford, Debbie Tucker-Elliott and Regina Rhodes. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Medders Funeral Home of Monticello (1324 US-278, Monticello, AR 71655). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the ALS Association, or the UAMS Neurology, ALS Department.
