It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Pearl Nelson of Monticello, Arkansas, born in Hamburg, Arkansas, who passed away on September 24, 2020, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hill and Clara White Hill; her husband Donnie Thompson; her siblings, Cecil, Billy Hill and Clarice Hill; and her grandson Dakota Parks.

She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Thompson of Monticello and Amanda Collier of Monticello; her sisters, Joann Haire of Monticello and Ruth Palmer of Mississippi; her grandchildren, Destiny Hartley, Austin Parks, Brittany Thompson and Sierra Parks; and her great grandchildren, Paisley Coke, Annalise Thompson, Aubry Kennedy and Aubri Parks. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral service following Covid-19 guidelines will be 4:00 p. m. Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with Rev. Zan Pierce officiating.
