He was predeceased by: his father Vester Bateman; his wife Bettie Jo Donham Bateman; and his siblings, Shirley Carpenter and Merle Bateman. He is survived by: his daughters, Alisa Ball (Don) of Monticello and Tina Spears (Ricky) of Monticello; his siblings, Delbert Bateman of White Hall and Elizabeth Hawkins of Orange, TX; and his grandchildren, Amye Yount (Robert), Robby Ball (Julie) and Ashley Gober (Zach). He is also survived by six great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
