She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carr and Elana Carr (Rush); her significant other Stewart Lambert; her son James Miller; her granddaughter Amber White; and her siblings, James Carr, Mary Reid, Lucille Martin, Onnie Miller and Betty Rhodes.
She is survived by: her children, Desmond Miller of Monticello, Tony Miller of Monticello and Sharon Preston of Monticello; her adoptive children, Yolonda of Monticello, Candace of Monticello, Karissa of Monticello, Laà of Monticello and Donte Miller of Monticello; her caregiver Monica Miller of Monticello; her nephew Jason Simmon (Taneisha) of Sikeston, MO; her sisters, Lillie Polk, Linda Carr, Jessie Scott, Sandra Spencer (Kent), Gertrude Brooks (Ronnie) and Jewel Block (Harold); and her close friend Dollie Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A wake was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home (943 US-425, Monticello, AR 71655). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
