It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Joe Mullis Sr. of Monticello, Arkansas, who passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kennon Walter Mullis (K. W.) and Mary Youngblood Mullis. He is survived by: his wife Connie Mullis of Monticello; his sister Judy Mullis Clower (Johnny) of McGehee; his children, Sam Mullis, Jr. (Donna) of Plano, TX, Jay Mullis of Fayetteville and Tammy Mullis Knobloch (Charles) of Monticello; his grandchildren, Sarah Mullis Sundberg (Chris) of Austin, TX, Megan Mullis Guirguis (Andrew) of Los Angeles, CA, Lauren Mullis of Fayetteville, K. C, Mollie Mullis of Fayetteville, K. C, Clay Mullis of Fayetteville, K. C and Kelly Knobloch of Monticello; and his great grandchildren, Virginia Sundberg of Austin, TX, William Guirguis and Eleanor Guirguis. He is also survived by many nephews and cousins.
