He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Rhea and Ida Rhea; the mother of his children Wanda Jean Langford Rhea; his daughter Denise Rehm; and his siblings, Lucille Walls, Lela Mae Hoyt, Pauline Keeton, Francis Wiley and Leo Rhea.

He is survived by : his children, Donnie Rhea (Marsha) and Gloria Maxwell (Danny). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
