He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis J. Benton (Lynwood) and Ruby Rouse Benton (Rita Gail Benton). He is survived by: his children, Matt Pearce (Audrey), Jason Arnold, Tyler Southerland (Misty), Misty Anderson and Kelsie Davis; and his siblings, Ronnie Benton, Linda Taylor and Kim Sellers (Paul). He is also survived by nephews, and other family and friends.
