He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hillis and Nettie Hillis; his wife Nell Wallace Hillis; and his sister Peggy Hillis McKinney. He is survived by: his children, Sheila Nixon (Tom) of Charleston, S. C., Jack Hillis (Karen) of Nashville, TN and Robin Burrus (Steve) of Morrilton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
