Samuel David Jones Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel David Jones of Mount Ida, Arkansas, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Jones and Alta Jones (Rice); his son David William Jones of Hot Springs, AR; his in-laws, Harvey and Una Palmer; and his siblings, Nell Bullock, Barbara Fryar, Eddie Jones, Hal Jones (Claude Halbert Jones Jr) and Shirley Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Jones (Palmer); his son Joey Halbert Jones (Cindy); his grandson Cody William Jones (Eden); his siblings, Gayle Williamson, Johni Irvan, Charlie Jones, Nancy Cogburn (Glen), Bill Jones (Evelyn) and Jack Jones; his sister-in-law Nola Shick (Sissy); his pet Dexter; his brother Kenny Jones; his brothers-in-law, Glen Cogburn, Ricky Mitchell and Jim Noga; and his friend Joe Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Blish Cemetery PO Box 664 Mount Ida, AR 71957.
