He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Harvard Johnson and Imogene Morris Johnson; his brothers, Morris Johnson of Pine Bluff and Jimmy Johnson of Hamburg; and his parents-in-law, John Paul and Mildred Freeman of Malvern, Arkansas..

He is survived by: his wife Johnette Freeman Johnson; his sons, Rusty Johnson (Pam) of White Hall, Arkansas, Randy Johnson (Terri) of Conway and Richie Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Dusty (Allison) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Brandi (Matt) of Rogers, Arkansas, Ryan (Kylie) of Bend, Oregon and Garrett Johnson of Little Rock, Arkansas.; and his great grandchildren, Callie, Lillie, Josie, Gunter, Sawyer, Adler and Molly.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Aubrey's honor to the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Mount Ida, Arkansas.
