He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Simmert and Emily Churchill Marks; and his grandson Eric Holt. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Simmert; his children, Larry Simmert (Sue) of Rockford, IL, Kelly Holt (Bill) of Jacksonville, NC, Richard Simmert (Carla) of Chandlerville, IL and David Simmert of Phillipsburg, MT; and his siblings, Wallace Simmert, Olive "Dolly" Fifield, Tina Rickett, Thomas Simmert and Martha Phillips. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
Monetary donations may be made to the Salvation Army Children's Ministry in Mountain Home.
