He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eli and Mary Eli (Crane); his son Russell Eli; and his sister Laura Lee Strayer. He is survived by: his wife Betty Eli (Rolen); his children, Linda Hopkins (Curt), Sid Eli (Melissa), Nancy Irbi (Tim) and Kevin Eli; his brothers, Bobby Eli (Ellen) and Johnny Eli (Kari); and his daughter-in-law Cathy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
