He is survived by: his spouse Caroleen Poynter (Duggins); his children, Amy Smith, James Poynter (Autumn) and Carrie Nelson; his grandchildren, Megan, Brittany, Haley (Andrew), Kim and Taya (Taner); his great grandchildren, Braylee, Bentley, Boone, Axle and Wren; his pet Ruckus; and his siblings, Pat Shipley and Brad Poynter (Deanna).
